    Question

    Hi to all!
Could you recommend me a optimal sequencer-SW for EWS64XL? Cakewalk, Cubase or Logic??? What is in your opinion more user friendly, flexible and stable with EWS? I can't make a decision...HELP!!!
    (AMD 1,2 GHz, 256 MB DDR-RAM, MB Biostar M7MIA, HDD/RAID, GF2Pro)
    Thanx for your tips!

    Dear friend,
first of all I have to say this:
It's only my personal opinion based on my personal experiences.
I dont' know Logic and I WAS a Cubase lover. (But on my old fantastic little Big ATARI 1040).
Then I passed to Hard disk recording and I bought my EWS64XL.
I boutgh this card because it was recommended with Cubase VST 3.5......(I'm laughing now but I cried).
After two months I decided to change my life.
(I used cubase for 9 years!)
I discovered Cakewalk. (It was Version 6 if I rightly remember)
Then I passed to 8,9 and now Sonar. (Now I'm very happy).
What can I say. I think It's the best solution. (It's very STABLE, not heavy for your CPU as other audio sequencers, friendly and now you can use DXI Instruments like VST).
If you want to spend a little sum I can recommend you CAKEWALK 9. In Italy it costs about the of the last Cakewalk SONAR or CUBASE and if you're not interested in DXI Instrument is very complete.
    Good Luck.

    Another important thing.
All I said is based on my experience.
I'm an Intel user, BX 440 Motherboard Abit.
Sometime the problems are not in the audio card but are in the chipset or in some other little corner of our hardware.
I don't know what you can obtain with your hardware. I hope the same good result.
Perhaps Sonar (but you should check) is optimized also for AMD CPU.

    Again Good Luck
(you need ha ha ha !)

    Hi!

    My experiences:
    STEINBERG RULES!!!
I'm using Cubase for more than 5 years now. I've started on an Atari 1040ST with Cubase 1.2 and now I'm using Cubase VST 5.1! I've tried to use Logic or Cakewalk, but it's not my kind of SW. VST is a very flexible and expandable audio and midi sequencer software and I just love it! Give it a try!

    Greetings
